“Timber Wars,” a podcast from Oregon Public Broadcasting, is now available online. The new podcast tells the story of how a small group of activists and scientists turned the fight over old-growth trees and the northern spotted owl into one of the biggest environmental conflicts of the 20th century.

Hosted and produced by Aaron Scott, “Timber Wars” is available for streaming via Apple Podcasts, Spotify, the NPR One app and the Oregon Public Broadcasting website.

The podcast includes seven episodes, and Episode 3 features an interview with FSEEE Executive Director Andy Stahl.

In addition to the podcast, OPB is releasing an e-newsletter that combines the podcast with further OPB reporting, including exploring the ways it’s playing out still.
